    Description

Up for no reserve auction is a 1953 Chevrolet 3800. This is a one ton pickup, not a two ton farm truck! THIS PICKUP IS BEING SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY. This pickup was purchased off an estate sale without a title, after sitting for many years. I was able to clean out the fuel lines, change the plugs and wires, points and condenser, now it runs and idles nicely and carries good oil pressure. The previous owner started to switch it to 12 volt, and got as far as mounting an alternator on it. No wires are plugged into the alternator at this time. Unfortunately, it will not go into gear. I went to adjust the clutch, and the clutch fork is adjusted all the way out. I don't know if this is the reason why they parked it or not. The brakes will also need to be gone through. The speedometer needle itself is broke off, but the odometer is just over 30,000 mi, and I believe that to be original, or close to it. At some point the engine was swapped out for a 55 235.
The pick up was originally a long box, but the previous owner built a homemade box, after the original box started to rust. All the glass is there, but everyone has a crack in it. The windshield has a hole in it about one inch in diameter. It has the usual rust in the floorboards, kick panels, driver side cowl, and cab corners. None of which needs to be addressed for some time if you want to drive it as is. The doors, edges around the windshield and back window are all in good shape. The body seam in the back of the cab has some light bubbling, but nothing that's going to be an issue anytime soon. The seat is in very nice shape.
This pickup Will make somebody a Cool cruiser that won't cost much at all to get back on the road!
    I will
    allow
ample time for pick up, HOWEVER FULL AUCTION PRICE IS DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION ENDING. Thanks!
