    Description

THE TRUCK THAT STARTED IT ALL
One of One Lingenfelter 1955 Chevrolet Pickup truck E-Rod. The E-Rod ’55 was a project that would blend modern drivability & efficiency with classic looks. The one that started the LS Swap craze. This truck was built on the chassis of a late-model Chevrolet Trail-Blazer SS & powered by the 5.3 L E-Rod crate engine from GM Performance. The 5.3 E-Rod is mated to the GMPP 4L65-E electronically controlled automatic transmission and new GMPP Supermatic transmission controller, which enables a simple plug-in installation to match the plug-in features of the E-ROD engine control system. This powerful, but efficient combo gets the power to the ground via a 9.5 inch rear end filled with 4.10 gears. The goal of this beautiful truck was to showcase GM efforts to change the Hot Rodding world with a new engine management system that would meet the toughest emissions standards (California) in the world, but does not sacrifice the performance that true Hot Rodders crave. This gorgeous truck debut at the 2009 SEMA Show and has been displayed by every major auto show and magazines. This stunning piece of craftsmanship can be found all over the internet with hundreds of pictures and YouTube Videos describing every last little bit of this truck. This 55 E-Rod Currently has 650 miles on it since its construction, so it is safe to say the collectability of this rare piece is intact. Options for this 1955 Chevy Lingenfelter E-Rod include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Anti-Lock Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Color Matched Steel Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires.
