    1986 Chevrolet K-10 Pickup
(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 1986 Chevrolet K-10 Pickup on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of the truck due to third-party website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 135 photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around video, and a link to the K10's accident-and-damage-free Carfax history report, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)
"Chevy Trucks. Tough and Tightfisted." -Period Chevrolet truck magazine advertisement
The above-quoted magazine ad went onto trumpet the Chevy pickup's computer-matched brakes ("front disc brakes and finned-drum rear brakes are automatically computer-matched to gross vehicle weight"); tough ladder-type frame ("design allows low cab mounting, easy entry"); counter-angled rear shocks ("to help reduce brake and power hop"); long vehicle life ("95.7% of all Chevy trucks in the ten most recent model years were still on the job."); and longer service intervals (30,000 miles between spark plug changes, 7,500 miles between oil changes and chassis lubrication, 30,000 miles between air cleaner elements). The ad summed it all up with the Chevy truck theme: "Built to Stay Tough."
The '86 Chevy K10 offered here is compelling proof of truth in advertising: a lifted, refreshed, substantially upgraded, re-powered, 35 year-old classic Chevy pickup that looks nowhere near its age. It didn't just "stay tough," this truck got a lot tougher! The beautiful lime-green paint on the properly lifted body is a guaranteed eye-catcher. Mileage on the truck is 56,938, a very conservative 1,630 miles per year on average. Truly a stunning 4-wheeler, this "sub-lime" K 10 pickup is ready for show... or go.
The truck's exterior has benefitted from a recent professional re-spray in lime-green. All body panels-from the air-induction hood, across the roof, to the cargo bed and tailgate-display even gloss and an absence of scratches, dings, or dents. Chrome bumpers front and rear are in near-perfect condition; matching chrome wheel-arch trim adds flair. The truck's stock front grille shows no damage or flaws. All other factory chrome trim is in place and in excellent condition. All factory badges and emblems have been deleted. The short-bed cargo box has been treated with a protective coating and shows the signs of normal use and wear. It is further protected with a soft bed cover stretched over supporting aluminum struts. MT®-branded aluminum wheels are mounted with Mickey Thompson® LT315/75R16 Baja Claw off-road tires.
Inside the cab, the stock interior look has been maintained and, like the rest of the truck, selectively upgraded. Black door trim includes roll-up window handles, a woodgrain pull, and gray cloth inserts. A Grant® GT chrome steering wheel in black frames a soft-covered black dash. Stock gauges are augmented with a dash-top AutoGage® programmable tachometer, and in-dash AutoGage® water-temperature and oil-pressure gauges. The bench seat has been reupholstered in an industrial-weave black fabric with center vinyl insert. A billet-aluminum QuarterStick® automatic-transmission shifter and separate transfer-case lever are floor-mounted on black diamond-plate. Cabin floors are covered in black carpeting which is free of excessive wear. The cab features a sliding rear-window.
Under the hood is a 383 Stroker V8 with black, Edelbrock-Racing valve covers, a black air-cleaner cover, chrome intake manifold, chrome alternator with Chevrolet bowtie logo, braided steel fuel lines, impressive exhaust headers, and more. The engine bay is clean and tidy; components, wiring, and plumbing have all been professionally installed. Viewed from below, the lifted suspension components, the exhaust headers, and full-length, properly routed dual exhaust system steal the show. There is no evidence of suspension or component damage.
While the more than 135 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this '86 Chevy K10 pickup in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.
As the recent country music lyric goes, "There's just something about a pickup man." Whether male or female, the next owner of this lifted, lime-green, short-bed '86 Chevy K 10 can expect that "something" to generate plenty of compliments and serious respect for this one-of-a-kind beauty.

    About Garage Kept Motors
Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos and descriptions, a “no surprise” approach, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
