These were sent to media outlets for promotional purposes, to be used by writers doing reviews or features about the films, and were not sold at retail stores. The discs include still images from the movie on a CD-ROM, which is not a DVD. Press kits do NOT include the movie itself. Thumbnails shown on the text insert or booklet (when one is included) show the images found on the CD-ROM. When a booklet is included, it typically has production notes about the movie, and info about the cast and crew who made it.

This is one of two original press kits I am listing for the 2005 Tim Burton version of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" titled "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" starring Johnny Depp. The main differences between the two is that the case for this copy is in better condition, and comes with the outer paper candy-style wrapper! Groovy!
Details:
The paper wrapper has some small white color-breaking marks at top center, another white scuff mark on the back at top center, and some minor edgewear/chipping. Inside, the DVD-style plastic case shows some rippling on the clear plastic see-through part. Inside is a 72-page (including color covers) booklet of text about the movie and the filmmakers and cast. The booklet and the CD ROM disc are like new. Note that the CD-ROM has a green tint like a CD-R, but it definitely is the real deal from the studio, not a copy. (What's strange, in fact, is that the disc in the other copy of this press kit I am selling -- the one without the outer candy wrapper -- is a silver disc. Weird.)
