The die cast aluminum enclosure can be secured with a padlock, Kensington style lock, or tamper evident zip tie. In addition, dual NICs can offer further isolation of the credit network from the store network. An integrated power supply, long-life industrial grade components, a fanless thermal design, and solid state storage all contribute to strong reliability. And it’s easy to quickly determine device status with a backlit operator display, interactive menu control buttons, and five status LEDs on the front panel.
    Installation notes
    Footprint An area of no less than 11” W x 10” L x 4” H is necessary to properly install the EPC. Do not cover or install the EPC in an enclosed space. Power and Cabling This product includes an integrated auto-switching power supply (input: 100V–240V AC, 50–60 Hz). Connect the IEC end of an A/C power cable to the EPC and the prong end to an A/C electrical outlet. Using an Uninterruptible Power Supply is recommended for protection against power surges, lightning strikes, and power loss. The Ethernet, Serial, and USB ports are located inside the lockable clamshell enclosure for enhanced security. With the clamshell open, route these cables through the T-slot and cable lock features located on the back panel. Moisture The EPC is not water-resistant. Accordingly, units should not be installed in areas where they might be exposed to water spray. Units are not intended for outdoor installation. I
