original equipment 4½" wide-range speaker from PROTON Model 320 Radio—excellent

Offered for your consideration is one (1)
4½ inch wide-range driver
that was original equipment in my
PROTON
Model 320 AM/FM Clock Radio, manufactured c.1990.

This driver is in clean, excellent condition. The sturdy paper cone is flawless and so is the voice coil dustcap. Plus, the surround is coated fabric instead of foam so it will last indefinitely. And, the +/- terminal wires are attached to a small harness for simple retrofitting to your PROTON radio. Overall, it’s in perfect shape and should provide many years of fine service.
Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds outstanding—very clear and detailed midrange, crisp highs, and adequate low-end output for the platform type. And, I tested its DC resistance at 7.1Ω consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the basket measures 4 11/16” across (5 7/16” from corners), it stands about 2” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 3⅜” adjacent / 4 13/16” on the diagonal, c-t-c.
This is a great find for someone that has a blown driver in their PROTON 320 and will have your cool old radio sounding it’s finest again! Not a difficult task for anybody reasonably handy with a Philips screwdriver.
So, as pictured and described, this PROTON 4½” wide-range radio driver is offered at a reasonable price.
