Clown with Collar is one of the more early PEZ creations, coming out in 1961 on a 2.6 stem. Most early issues followed a Disney theme or were seasonal (Easter).  PEZ experimented with promotional items (Lions Club and political parties) and popular concepts like Spaceman.  In 1970, PEZ came out with a whole new array of characters and all previous characters were halted.  Many of these characters were issued on older 2.6 stems in order to use up the supply.  Lil Lion, Pony, and Elephant with Hair started a circus theme; Doctor, Nurse, Pirate, Maharaja, Fireman, and Policeman started the PEZ Boy/Girl theme; Octopus, One Eyed Monster and Mr Ugly started the Monster Theme; Angel, Santa, Chick, and Witch started the seasonal theme.
This listing is for the vintage Clown with Collar (1961) on a Red no feet 2.6 Austria stem. The dispenser is in great shape with no melt marks, no head fop, and tight springs. The foot stand is included for easy display.
