Rooster first appeared in 1976 on a 2.6 stem.  It was part of a series that included Chick (B), Cow (B), and Lamb. Although the 3.4 patent was issued in 1968, it took several years before the old stock was used up and for the stem to reflect the change.  Some 2.6 stems were used up until 1980. Rooster started off with a White Head and subsequent runs saw Yellow and Green heads.  Production stopped in 1979 when PEZ experimented with softheads.  The softheads were a failure and PEZ went back to traditional harder plastic.  Rooster re-appeared in 1980 as a Merry Music maker Whistle.   In 1987, PEZ began to put thin feet on some PEZ and started with several older characters for several years, including the Rooster.
This listing is for the re-issue of Rooster with White Head on a vintage Thin Feet 3.9 Austria stem (1987).  This item will come without packaging - in other words, loose.
