Rare Vintage 60's unmodified High Fidelity House Klipsch cabinet
High Fidelity House was located in Pasadena and San Diego and operated from 1955 to mid 60's as a high end audio store that carried most of the well known brands of the time.  This listing is for their ultimate large speaker system and competed with the Bozak Concert Grand and JBL Hartsfield among others.  They upgraded the components used to heavy duty versions of what Klipsch used.  Early models used the Stephens 102 15 inch woofer and this model has the later  Electro Voice 15W.  The midrange was covered by a JBL 375 on a Hartsfield type horn with wooden extension to go down to 300 hz.  High frequency was covered with an Electro-Voice T 35 or T 350.  The crossover used very large air core inductors and oil filled caps.
The listing is for a mono system that has a fully original and solid cabinet that was probably used originally in a built in installation as it is an unfinished version.  The woofer is a correct reconed EV 15W redone by Speaker Repair Pros in Orange County.  The midrange is the correct JBL 375 with original logo,  but the diaphragm has been replaced with a later 2450SP diaphragm.  The tweeter is an EV T 35B.  Unfortunately the original oil filled caps in the crossover have been lost.  Substitute caps are included,  but will have to be wired in by the buyer.  Both original Lpads are present and do work,  but are a bit scratchy.  Altogether a very nice example of a rare Klipsch system.
