Offered for your consideration is a
TANNOY
type 1690
6½ inch woofer
manufactured c.1999.  This stalwart mid/bass driver was removed from my TANNOY Reveal nearfield monitor speakers.  It was also used in the TANNOY Reveal Active—the powered version of this monitor—and may have also been used in other period TANNOY offerings, but the buyer is responsible for assessing its suitability for their intended application.
So, please take a look at my large photos, the measurements I’ve provided, and read the remaining description to decide if this terrific mid/bass woofer should be yours.

This TANNOY woofer is in clean, excellent condition.  The poly cone is in great shape with no cracks or scratches and the voice coil dustcap has no dent or dimples.  Plus, the sturdy injection-molded plastic basket is also in great shape as is the galvanized steel cover over the double-stacked, shielded magnet structure.  Also, the surround is
permanent
rubber, so there are no aging foam issues to deal with.  And, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades.  Overall, this woofer is in very nicely preserved.
Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds wonderful—very clear with fast, well-detailed midrange and good low-end output for the platform size.  Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 3.7Ω, consistent with a nominal 4 ohm driver rating.  Lastly, the basket measures 7⅝” x 6⅝”, it stands around 3¾” tall, and has a unique six-hole mount pattern.
So, if your TANNOY Reveal, or other suitable speaker, has a 6½” woofer that’s damaged or blown, you’ve found the right listing!  Your speaker will be sounding great again in no time.  And, long-discontinued, this woofer would also make a smart spare to have around for the future.
