    Shipping
    -----
Unfortunately, these "folder-style" press kits cannot be shipped by the post office's cheap Media Mail rate, and have to go by Priority Mail (unlike the Digital CD-ROM Press Kits that I am selling as separate auctions). Your shipping cost will be whatever the eBay shipping calculator above says it will be for a two-pound package. If you win more than one of these press kits -- or if you win multiple auctions of anything -- I will combine items into a single package to save you as much money as possible by weight.

What You Will Get in This Auction
    -----
Photos above always show the actual items that you will get, because I never use "stock photos." Please excuse any reflections or focus issues.
These are two of many press kits that I am selling on eBay, so be sure the check out my other listings!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Press kits do not include the movies themselves!
These were sent to media outlets for promotional purposes, to be used by writers doing reviews or features about the films, and were not sold at retail stores.
This auction is for two folder-style press kits related to "The Matrix." The first is an elaborate multi-part folder, and the second is for the home video release of "The Animatrix." Details:
The big one is 14 inches by 8.5 inches, with separate sections for info about "The Matrix," "The Animatrix," the Atari videogame "Enter the Matrix" and "The Matrix Reloaded." Note that the only thing missing from this press kit is whatever disc was originally in the empty slot on the page for "The Animatrix." It probably would have been the DVD of "The Animatrix" -- as opposed to a promo disc about that feature -- based on the fact that the page for "The Matrix" has the disc of that movie, not one with promo stuff. Anyhow, here is what you WILL get:
The front of the multi-part folder has the DVD of "The Matrix" in a slip-in slot, with "The Matrix" in metallic silver-color ink at the top. The disc is the DVD of the entire movie, along with Special Features for "Cast and Crew" and "The Dream World" -- which includes a commentary track by Carrie-Ann Moss, a "Making the Matrix" featurette, a music-only track with commentary by composer Don Davis, and a "Follow the White Rabbit" option that's has links to fun facts about the film.
The next "page" of the black folder has a pocket that holds 11 stapled text pages of "Production Information" about "The Matrix." The pocket has the date "03.31.99" printed in silver ink on its bottom flap, presumably the date "The Matrix" was released.
The next "page"of the black folder has "The Animatrix" in metallic silver-color ink at the top. Although this page has a sleeve for a disc on it, there is no disc in that slot. As I mentioned before, the missing disc probably would have been the actual "The Animatrix" movie (a copy of which you probably already have elsewhere, if you're a big enough fan to be looking at this auction). Whatever was there, it isn't there now!
The next "page" of the black folder has a pocket with 16 stapled text pages of "Production Information" about "The Animatrix." Note that these text pages are not the same as the text pages in the separate press kit included with this auction that was promoting the home release of "The Animatrix." Printed in metallic silver-color ink on the pocket's flap at the bottom is the date "06/03.03," which presumably was the movie's release date.
The next "page" of the black folder has "Enter the Matrix" printed in metallic silver-color in at the top, and a slot for the DVD that has a seven minute promo for the "Enter the Matrix" Atari videogame, with bits from the game interspersed with live action bits. That is all that's on the disc!
The next "page" of the black folder has a pocket that holds 13 stapled text pages of info about the game. The date "05.15.03" -- which was the release date of the game -- is printed in metallic silver-color ink on the pocket's flap at the bottom.
The next "page" of the black folder has "The Matrix Reloaded" printed at the top in metallic silver-color ink, and a pocket that holds a DVD disc titled "The Matrix Experience." This is a five-minute-19-second promo video that includes "making of" scenes from the set of "The Matrix," bits from "The Animatrix" and the game, and comments from people like producer Joel Silver and actresses Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity) and Jada Pinkett-Smith, and actors Keanu Reeves (Neo) and Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus). The video also mentions that "The Matrix Reloaded" was coming in May, and "The Matrix Revolutions" was coming in November 2003.
The next "page" of the black folder has a pocket that holds a single sheet text page called "Welcome to Zion," with info about the schedule for events that took place at the press junket that took place on the Warner Bros. studio lot May 1-4 2003. Pretend you were there!
Moving on to the second press kit, here are details:
This is a pretty simple press kit for "The Animatrix" home video release. I think it is complete with everything, but I am not positiv. That's because although it includes two color slides (with shots from "The Final Flight of the Osiris"), the plastic sleeve those two slides are in has room for a third slide. I have no idea if that third slot ever was occupied by a third slide. Also, the outer Warner Bros. Pictures folder (which has some minor impressions) has a slit made into the inside pocket where a DVD or CD-ROM disc could fit -- but that slot appears never to have been used, so I don't know if anything ever was there. The press kit also includes six stapled text pages about "The Flight of the Osiris," and four other stapled text pages about the home release version of "The Animatrix."
You'll love them! Any questions, just ask!
