Vintage Ladies 1930s Wide Woven Brim Black Cartwheel Pancake & Cream Bow Hat
A RARE 1930s/40s wide brim woven glamor hat with sheer cream ribbon and wide bow.
This is NOT a
reproduction, this is
an authentic 1930s/40s glamorous 'Old Hollywood' black
cartwheel
hat or pancake hat.
It has a shallow crown and a
brim
that is wider on the
front & sides than the back.
The hat has
a molded crown and
the brim has a stiff
weave that is possibly sisal (not sure).
There is a black grosgrain
ribbon band on the
inside which has some tearing.
The crown is approx. 1.5" deep and the inside
band measurement is
approx. 18";
T
he hat pretty
much sets on top of the head.
There are
a lot of dents on the
crown which may respond to steaming and some on
the
brim along with a few
discoloration spots.
There is
some soiling & spotting on cream bow.
Sold "as is". A real beauty!
